Andarine, commonly known as S4, is a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM). It is currently under clinical trials for its potential impacts on the research subjects. Like other SARMs, Andarine has been investigated for its selective binding to androgen receptors and its potential role in modulating muscle and lipid metabolism in preclinical models.

It exhibits selective affinity for androgen receptors predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and osseous tissue. After binding with androgen receptors, S4 SARM may mimic the effects of testosterone. By mimicking endogenous androgenic activity, it may promote the upregulation of protein synthesis pathways.
